As divine as you are 

Something about you just doesn’t seem right 

Could it be the scars on your body? 

Could it be the very things you despise about yourself?

NO…

That’s not it 

It’s  the pure fact that you are so use to being mistreated

So use to it that you are often okay with being unheard 

Metaphorically speaking…

The dog barks at you, non stop

But nothing… nothing leaves your lips 

Nothing ever leaves those perfectly shaped lips 

They are forever crusted by the silence you give 

Reality check…

You were unheard, mistreated and overlooked 

Were…...past tense 

NOT NOW!!!

You ARE heard, appreciated, and valued 

By many and especially ME

So listen here youngman

Will you continue to stay silent as many overstep the boundaries you have so gracefully laid out?

Or will you stand up for your pride and take back what is rightfully yours?  

Will you wake the king that has been sleeping inside of the darkest of tunnels in you? 

Or will you wait for him to fade into the darkness? 

The choice is all yours, but
