“Where Creativity Blooms”

Karissa Jivraj

 I am poem

If I was in Harry Potter I would be a Slytherin

I would be the snakes of the world

I would show my green scaley skin and I would hiss at those who I despise

For I despise the most of them

And people I find are slimely

Cause people cross boundaries that keep me contained

So I hiss and I bite and I show my long fangs

Because the boundaries I set always seem to break

The boundaries that protect me from them

Not them from me

I'm not as scary as I seem to be

Because if I let someone in and they step on my tail

Or laugh at my scales

Then the boundaries I set don't last

So I hiss and I bite to keep myself hidden

But I've been aching to shed some new skin
