“Where Creativity Blooms”

Emilia Osti

 You’re Weak

little godling,

do you know how it

feels

to be

touched?

little godling,

who has laid hand on you since he buried his knife in

your throat,

your soul?

what a beautiful boy. what beautiful eyes. what beautiful empty

space, Infinite space, mortals cannot lay hands on god—

what beautiful strength. you’ll save us all one day, yes you will, yes you— .

you

were born to save us.

don’t be selfish, now. gods die for us.

only godlings cry about it.

you cryin’? you cryin’, little one?

kill yourself and then

return, triumphant, not even three days, the strength—

kill your lover. good. not good enough.

don’t ever let them

touch                you.

he      touchedyou. heheldyouclose.             you loved him.

he      touched           god.

little godling,

did you ever cry for your mother and find she could not hold you?

could she not touch god?

do you see, with so many eyes? your purpose?

Infinite

space,                             between you and mortals.

little godling,

who has laid hand on you since he buried his knife in

your throat,

your soul?

no one has                    touched                           god.

no one has touched god and lived.

destroy yourself.

“throughout heaven and earth, i alone am the honored one.”

little godling,

you are honored among heaven and earth.

will you truly cry because you’re alone?
