“Where Creativity Blooms”

Antonio Gordon

My little flower seed

My little flower seed

I really can't wait to see

How big you'll grow

How you'll be

Time passes

And not a single day goes by

That I do not notice you

For you are a part of my life

I am your sun

My rays shining over you

As a form of protection

For you I love

And show affection

You bring me joy

Every time I rotate to you

Lying within the ground

Safe and sound

What occurred next

I didn't expect

You didn't move

Still you stood

Confusion raided my mind

As I tried to figure out why

But days went by fast

Your stems didn't last

That's when I knew

Or rather, was told

You’d forever stop moving

You'd forever stop growing

I cried for a long time

Days and nights

I could never forgive myself

No matter how hard I tried

My heart was broken

But overtime

It gradually repaired

Yet, it was still left impaired

And it wasn't easy

But I was graciously blessed with

Two more little seedlings

That'll create a new bliss

I now take a vow

To never let them get hurt

And to always make sure

They stay safe forever

For they are my flower seeds

But you will always be

The first ever

Little flower seed
